The route starts near Cortona by the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie Calcinaio.La the dirt road out of the church, will take us via Scotoni. Turn right, going towards Cortona, and arrived at the big intersection formed by five streets, turn left, progressing towards Arezzo. At about one hundred meters from the crossing we stop to visit the Tanella of Pythagoras. We continue to go down the road that leads us in the Sodo, where we can admire two splendid Etruscan burial mounds. The Mound of The Sodo, across from the First Melone II of Sodo are the Mound. From Sodo take the road that leads back to Cortona and follow the signs to Monsigliolo, after which we arrive at Farneta (which is about 14 km from Cortona). Do not miss a visit to the Abbey of Farneta (eighth century), built by Benedictine monks and dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption. We resume the road to proceed towards Cortona and Terontola, stopping in places Ossaia, where he was found a splendid example of Roman Villa. From Ossaia take the road towards Pergo Metelliano until you get to where our tour leads us to admire the Church of St. Michael the Archangel (seventh century. From here we take the road towards Mercatale, up to the Rocca di Pierle ( eleventh century), which concludes our guided tour.
